Oil on Panel. Signed. Painter, etcher, teacher, writer. Born in Bayswater 1865, he studied at University College School. He studied under Alphonse Legros at the Slade, then under William-Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert Fleury at the Académie Julian, Paris. He was the founder of the Society of Graphic Art (SGA) and an examiner for the Royal Drawing Society, as well as an almost annual exhibitor at the Royal Academy for over 40 years. Among other museums, his work can be found in the Tate Gallery, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Ashmolean Museum, the Imperial War Museum, Guildhall Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Oil on board. Signed. Paul Hedley spent his childhood in Chatham, Kent. He studied art at Medway College of Art from 1966 - 68, and then later at Maidstone college of Art, where he was awarded the Diploma in Art and Design. Paul has been painting ever since he can remember.
